£2.65 Ex. VAT

Galvanised joining plate for extending sleeper runs. Spans both sleepers, creates strong end-to-end connections.

Description

The FENCEMATE Sleeper Joining Plate is a heavy duty galvanised steel plate designed to join two sleepers end-to-end in a straight line. At 170x80x2mm, it spans across both sleepers and provides the strength needed to create continuous runs without visible joints. Perfect for creating long landscape edges, extended planters, and sleeper walls that require joining multiple sleepers.

What is a joining plate used for?
Joining plates allow you to extend sleeper lengths by joining two sleepers end-to-end in a perfectly straight line. The plate spans across the junction and is secured with sleeper pins driven through both sleepers, creating a structural connection that’s as strong as the sleepers themselves. This eliminates the need for visible butt joints or complex carpentry.

How to use
Position the joining plate so it spans equally across the two sleepers you want to join. Drive sleeper pins through the plate and both sleepers into the ground. For double layer construction, use two joining plates stacked on top of each other. The strength comes from the pins anchoring both sleepers and the plate into the ground.
