Description
The Hampton Gate (Wide) is a classic timber garden gate, combining traditional looks with solid, well-proven construction. Made from pressure treated softwood, it is designed to withstand outdoor conditions and provide a longer service life.
The gate features mainly tongue and groove match boarding with vertical pales, supported by a framed, ledged and braced design. Mortice and tenon joints add strength, while chamfered top and mid rails give a clean, finished appearance. The overall height is 1067mm (3ft 6in), measured to the top of the horn, which is the highest point of the side framing.
Available in widths from 3ft to 6ft, the Hampton Gate (Wide) suits a variety of garden and driveway openings. For wider access, two gates can be hung as a pair to span openings of up to 12ft. Larger matching driveway gate sizes are also available.
For best results, the manufacturer recommends using suitably sized hinges and fittings, with hinges measuring at least one third of the gate width. A minimum post size of 2.1m x 100mm x 100mm is advised to ensure proper support and stability.
