UC4 Treated Joist for use with decking, fencing, landscaping, building or garden structures.
What is the difference between UC3 &UC4?
UC3 :
- The timber is treated enough to be used outdoors.
- Should ONLY be used ABOVE GROUND and not in contact with the ground
- Therefore it should NOT be used as a fence post going in or in contact with the ground.
UC4 :
- More vigorously treated than UC3.
- Kiln dried, pressure treated with deeper penetration of treatment than UC3
- Allows for use in the ground or in contact with water.
